DOCTORS

A. BLAKE HUTTO, O.D.

A patient of Family Vision Care since 3rd grade, Dr. Hutto left home to achieve his Bachelor of Biology and Bachelor of Nursing from Valdosta State University before heading to Ft. Lauderdale, where he completed his Doctor of Optometry.

At work Dr. Hutto revels in treating diseases of the eye (including dry eye, diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, macular degeneration and rare dystrophies/degenerations). In the spirit of "always up for a challenge" Dr. Hutto also enjoys challenging contact lens fits (including multifocal and hybrid contact lenses).

Free time is fleeting as Dr. Hutto soaks up most of his leisure with his wife, Megan, and three sons, Dutch, Elliott, and Oakes.

Sarah Kate Day, O.D.

Dr. Day is an Alma native who graduated from Bacon County High School in 2013. She then attended South Georgia State College before transferring to Georgia Southern University where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.S. in Biology.

Dr. Day graduated in May 2021 from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Optometry. She has special interests in ocular disease and specialty contact lenses.

Dr. Day and her husband, Tyler Day, are excited to serve the people of Bacon county and surrounding areas for many years to come!

James L. McQuaig, Jr., O.D.

A native of Southeast Georgia, Dr. McQuaig carries his grandfather and father's tradition of practicing optometry. After attending Georgia Southern University, he earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern College of Optometry in 1981.

Dr. McQuaig is a past president of the Georgia Optometric Association. Though he has provided care for a wide range of patients over the last 35 years, Dr. McQuaig now feels he is following his calling to "provide unmatched care for the geriatric population."

In his free time he loves getting away to Ponce Inlet, FL and relaxing with his wife, Linda, and their dog, Bella. Anyone who knows Dr. McQuaig knows you couldn't meet a more likeable or caring fellow.

James Williamson

Find a hat. Ask James to wear it. Watch him ROCK it! James joined our team in 2015 and has used everything from his MBA to common sense to make sure we are a well oiled machine. James manages the practice, helps oversee finances, and (most importantly) aids Dr. Hutto in any necessary practical joking. When James isn’t working, he's spending time with his wife, Candace, and daughter, Audrey, and son, Jack.

Kim Lewis

Kim joined the FVC family in 2009 and has excelled as a technician and contact lens aficionado. Kim is spectacular at making sure you get your yearly supply of contact lenses and handles troubleshooting no matter how rare it may be. When Kim isn't making a "honey-do" list for her husband Randy, she's spending time with family, including their 2 kids and 7 grandkids.

Heather Sullivan

Heather is our silent FVC ninja! She will assist you with choosing the best frames and can work as a technician, contact lens assistant, answer phones, problem solve.... really anything, and doesn't even have to waste a single sticky note. Heather is known for her even temperament and always putting our patients first. When she's not at work, Heather spends time with her husband, James and their son, Jaxen, at home with their self-proclaimed "zoo.”

Dana Herrington

Dana is the clumsiest member of the FVC family. Dana will greet you at the front desk and take all of your information to make sure we get things off to a great start. Dana enjoys spending her free time with her husband, Wayne, and their dog Dani L’Wayne.

Abby Johnson

Abby is one of our insurance clerks.  Abby has a Bachelor's degree in Business and helps keep things running smoothly in the office. Abby enjoys spending time with her family, including her baby, Wes. She is also very active with her church family.

Leigh Anne Hennesy

Leigh Anne joined our practice in 2019. When you meet her, you may think she relocated from Hialeah, FL, but she is a South Georgia native. Leigh Anne adds humor to our practice while taking exceptional care of our patients during their work-ups. She enjoys spending time with her husband, Scott, and two children.

Sonya Dixon

With over 20 years experience in all aspects of eye care, we were excited to welcome Sonya to our team in 2019. Sonya runs our lab, where she is an optical savant. You’re likely to see her enjoying coffee from the head of Darth Vader, but she’s really a kind soul.
